the feed bin has been my 'baby' since 1995. After completing two years of Equine study at Oakland's Agricultural College, St. Albans. I left to run my own business. the feed bin. 'LU2 animal feed & bedding supplies'. Supplying all types of animal, bird & fish food, bedding, herbals, supplements & accessories to private owners, stables, farms & breeders. Originally the business was delivery based, but an accident in Dec 2002, meant changes & re-organisation. Now the feed bin is based from my home in Stopsley on the edges of Luton [LU2], Bedfordshire (England, UK) with easy access from all directions. Products are supplied to order, and collection is the preferred option [*delivery available charges may apply].
I have privately studied equine nutrition [and undergone product training - equine & canine] but I am NOT a qualified nutritionist. Now a labrador owner and an ex-horse(s) owner, I have much experience in the subject of nutrition. Having been there, I know how expensive keeping animals are - especially horses. I am passionate about helping you feed all your animals well, efficiently & economically.

[The Organic Feed Company says] In the UK, anything that is labelled ‘organic’must be certified by an approved organisation, such as the Soil Association. Farmers and manufacturers are subject to annual inspections, plus spot checks. Farmers must build natural soil fertility through the growth of crops such as clover, which help put the goodness back in the soil. They do not rely on the use of chemicals or pesticides and must take measures to preserve the natural environment.
If it’s labelled organic, is it 100% organic?.....
Not quite. With manufactured feed, there may be instances where it is impossible to obtain certain organic ingredients - often protein or oil sources such as
soya, linseed or maize, or vitamin and mineral sources such as yeast, limestone flour or salt - in sufficient quantities. To accommodate this, the
regulations permit manufacturers to include a small proportion of non-organic ingredients, and still label the product organic. However, with the continual
growth in the choice of organic feedstuffs available, it’s likely products will become closer to being 100% organic. Check with your feed manufacturer how
organic their product is - some may be as low as 60%.
Therefore with current legislation for organic foods not covering pet products; it pays to read the ingredient declaration. You will find many so -called 'organic' pet foods only contain a small percentage of organic ingredients, or maybe only one!!!

I visit my suppliers weekly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. I can supply most goods to order the same week they are required, however this does depend on product availability from my suppliers. Some items require pre-ordering and in these cases I will advise and give an estimated time of arrival. Orders are taken over the phone or via email. When e-ordering I will always send an email acknowledgement. As I work from home you are able to collect your feeds seven days a week, anytime [by arrangement please] up to 8pm.
